After fighting the Japanese military, British invaders to Mike Tyson, Scott Adkins will now become Donnie Yen's new enemy. The 43-year-old actor plays the character of an American soldier named Barton Geddes who is racist to Donnie while on a trip to San Francisco. Let's get to know Scott Adkins more.

Born in Sutton Coldfield, outside the city of Birmingham in England's West Midlands, Adkins began studying martial arts at a young age. He even founded a temple for Bruce Lee in his parents' garage.

In 2001, Scott Adkins made his debut in the Hong Kong film industry with a minor role in Stephen Tung Wei's C3 Fighters. This earned him the nickname 'the new white man in Hong Kong'.

Afterward, Scott appeared in the film Black Mask 2 by director Tsui Hark. In this film, Scott collaborated for the first time with Yuen Woo Ping, a martial arts choreographer in Jackie Chan's The Medallion which was released in 2003.

"I came in here like a student. Out of respect for Yuen Woo Ping and everything he did, when he said 'do something', I would do it right away. I told Donnie from the start that I wanted to learn as much as I could," continued Scott Adkins.

Scott also admitted that he was happy to be back in Hong Kong after starring in a number of Hollywood films. However, he was a little surprised by the current style of filmmaking in Hong Kong.

"I almost forgot how hard it was, and what to expect of you physically. But that's why the action will look so incredible, because nothing's bothering you. You have to get it right, and until it doesn't get a pat on the back. That moment. What's nice is when everything is over. That's what makes everything valuable, "said Scott Adkins.
